Post Vacation LetDown

I got an opportunity to go on a 4 day cruise to the Western Caribbean for less than $150. Being no fool, I snapped that right up. My first cruise and it was pretty awesome, as long as I stayed away from the party crowd. That's fairly easy to do on such a big ship, actually.

I had anticipated knitting a lot. I was very wrong. I took my kindle to finish up A Storm of Swords by George R R Martin, as well as a library book - Divergent by Veronica Roth - and I never lifted my head from those books. I was hooked completely and the socks I brought kind of fell by the wayside.

So for the update I don't really have much to share:

On the Needles
My Iced cardigan is still going. The body is done and one sleeve is completely done. I haven't gotten the other sleeve started yet, mainly because it's getting hotter here and having that on my lap isn't that inviting anymore. But it will get done soon. Oh yes.

Plain vanilla socks for my friend went on a cruise and didn't get any progress. Now though, I am at least on the heel flap of the first sock. Progress? Yes.

My Hermione socks are still on the ribbed cuff. No progress.

There's not a darn thing off the needles and no non-fiber stuff happening :) But I went on a cruise!

In Your Ear
I'm listening to The Fault in Our Stars by John Green for the upcoming book club. So far so good, but I'm only 50 minutes in.
